Before you install Pogamut you have to have installed JDK 1.6+ and Netbeans 6.7+ if you want to use the Pogamut Netbeans plugin which brings many handy features.
There are two possibilities:

you have neither JDK nor Netbeans, then it is easiest to download latest Netbeans and JDK cobundle.

you already have JDK 1.6+ but you don't have Netbeans, then follow this link for download. "Java SE" version will be sufficient.
Current Pogamut can comunicate with both Unreal Tournament 2004 (UT2004) and with Unreal Engine 2 Runtime (UE2).
UT2004 is a commercial game and you have to buy it if you want to connect to this environment.
UE2 is free for noncommercial use, you can download it here.
