Thanks for the help I really apreiciate it.  I added that code and it does work.  But the bot doesn't move as effciently as I want it so I added another sensor at the back of the bot. I added the code in but for some reason I get an error 'catch' without try. This part of the code was already there and it was woking before I added the new code in but the new code doesn't give me errors so why is this?
