Re: Re: Server on local machine
Hello!

Sounds like problem with handshake indeed. Well I will first ask some questions:
1) which version of Pogamut are you running? (I presume 1.0.2 in NB6)
or by any chance are you working with version of plugin from SVN?
2) are you on WinXP ?

First thing I would try is to:

0) delete any unreal servers you have in NetBeans under Services/Unreal Tournament Servers
1) stop / kill NetBeans
2) stop all Java programs you're running correctly
3) examine the running processes + kill all java.exe (JVMs)
4) stop the UT2004 correctly
5) checkout (from command line) netstat -a ... nobody should listen (bound) to port 3000 and 3001
- here I presume that FW is configured correctly and is not blocking your ports 3000 and 3001 -
6) fire up UT2004
7) open command line again and type 'telnet localhost 3001'
the GB2004 should send you
HELLO CONTROL SERVER
answer
READY
GB2004 should immediately replies
NFO { some info } ... if this NFO message correctly appears then you confirm that GB2004 is running correctly (close telnet by typing QUIT)
(there will be a bunch of ALIVE messages too, but NFO is vital)
8) open NetBeans again and ... I hope the server will catch up :-)

Good luck!

However in Netbeans it still says 'Handshake Phase with Gamebots 2004, waiting for NFO message.' on the server which is the deathmatch server from pogamut 2. I thought there meant to be a green arrow which shows that the server is working but my local server works but the message is still there. Is there something I ain't doing right?
