Well if you can SEE the item when you walk into the room, that the item obviously is not picked up yet. 

Or perhaps you wanted to ask if you can get the information about which inventory points have currently item on them. (The bot has the information about points where the items get respawned, but he DOESN'T know if the item is there until he cas see the point.)
